A Cluster of Camphire

This first book of mine, a novella, was never published in the U.K., only in the Netherlands in Dutch translation. As my first book it was perhaps inevitably rather autobiographical, partly a love story, and partly an account of my childhood in the Seychelles. It led to my being asked to write for children, too, which I did, three books later.
